About
AltspaceVR was one of the original social virtual reality platforms, acquired by Microsoft in 2017 and deeply integrated with Microsoft Teams and the broader Microsoft Mesh initiative. The platform enabled large-scale virtual events, meetings, and social experiences across PC and VR headsets, and was instrumental in proving enterprise and consumer VR social presence at scale. Microsoft folded AltspaceVR's technology into their broader Mixed Reality platform.
