Holoroom was a pioneering AR/VR home improvement design tool created by Lowe's Innovation Labs, allowing customers to visualize and design rooms in virtual reality before purchasing materials. First launched in 2014, it was one of the earliest retail AR/VR applications at scale, enabling customers to see how flooring, paint, and fixtures would look in their actual space. The project proved the commercial value of VR in retail decision-making.
