Palmer Luckey is the founder of Oculus VR and inventor of the modern consumer VR headset, whose Kickstarter campaign in 2012 launched the contemporary VR industry. After Facebook acquired Oculus for $2B, he went on to found Anduril Industries, an AI defense technology company. His work single-handedly reignited the VR industry and his influence on every modern headset cannot be overstated.
