Steve Mann

Steve Mann is a Canadian inventor and pioneer of wearable computing and augmented reality, widely considered the 'father of wearable computers.' A professor at the University of Toronto, he began developing wearable AR systems in the 1970s and 1980s, decades before the term 'AR' existed. His foundational work laid the conceptual and technical groundwork for modern AR glasses and spatial computing.
